For children aged 6 to 10 we offer courses that introduce them to the French language through various activities such as crafts, songs etc. The aim of this course is not to teach grammar rules, but to allow these children a time of fun learning a new language.
In our adolescent classes, teenagers follow the national curriculum and thus these courses provide thorough practice and revision of what they do at school. Our classes are held in French so the student is automatically exposed to the spoken component of the language.
Our summer courses provide teenagers with a thorough revision of the course work done in the previous year and a preparation for the syllabus set for the following scholastic year.
Summer 2018: French Courses for Adolescents
During the summer month of July, August and September, the Alliance Française de Malte Méditerranée organises courses specifically designed for adolescents. These courses have proved to be very popular among those students learning French at school and wishing to keep in touch with the language during the holidays. Our courses are presented in a fun environment making the students’ experience with us both enjoyable as well as rewarding.
Summer 2018 – Our summer courses traditionally offer adolescents a revision of the previous year and a preparation for the next. All our teachers are fully qualified teachers of French as a Foreign Language and are employed as Teachers of French in private and public schools. The courses we organise are in line with the national curriculum, and the material covered goes hand in hand with what the students cover at school. Lessons are held in French exposing the students to the oral component of the language.
This year we are introducing a couple of reforms to our summer courses:
Below is a table summarising the summer courses. We are currently working on the summer schedule which will be uploaded in May. Applications for our summer courses will be received on a first come first served basis from June 2018.

In our conversation classes emphasis is on the oral component of the language. Here students are encouraged to express their views on various topics of conversation. Activities will also contribute to help the student feel at ease when expressing himself in French. Various workshops are held throughout the year. These are usually held by French native speakers and expose the general public to various topics related to the French culture – from the regions and their specialities to art and literature, there is something for everyone
